What Clothes to Pack on Your Next Rail Excursion

Feeling relaxed is what any journey is about, be it by road, rail, sea or air. Loose fitting clothes, and light materials are the best inside the carriage, but what if its minus 10 outside and there’s a layer of fresh snow on the ground?

Packing for the journey and the place you are going to may be totally different, and really you don’t want to be hauling masses of luggage along the station platform. The days of the big trunk with at least six outfits inside are all but gone, although there are some who aren’t happy unless they have their entire wardrobe with them.

Much depends on where you are going. If the journey is up to the highlands of Scotland or the Swiss Alps, then clearly you will need the best clothes for that climate. Layers are the best way to ensure you are not too hot, or too cold. Just add according to the temperature.

Footwear is always a difficult one because they take up so much room. Its fine if you are going to sit on a beach for the holiday where a pair of flip flops is about as formal as it will get. An entirely different picture if you are heading off to a convention somewhere and you need to be booted and suited every day.

The clothes have to be considered carefully, and as with most things there is often a compromise solution. Take what you really need is the best motto, but as in all walks of life be prepared for the unexpected!

Baby clothing also includes bedding for the new child and duvets and sleeping bags and comforters and blankets that are suitable for the climate in which the child will first grow. As the baby spends so much time in the bed the materials and colors which surround him are highly important as his comfort is vital to a healthy and happy growth.
